After market exhaust and auto trans
I was wondering how an after market exhaust sounds with an automatic and wanted to get feedback from those that have done it. I'm leaning toward a Nameless or Perrin axleback system but am concerned how it sounds coupled with an auto. I see to many auto Hondas' with sh*t can exhausts and I just don't want to sound like them. Comments please.

@russv transmission doesn't really effect the sound of an exhaust. if you have an auto though i recommend you drive in manual mode because it'll let you stay in gear longer instead of rushing to 6th automatically. so it'll let you enjoy your exhaust as much as someone with a manual car.

I doubt there will be a different exhaust note between an A/T and a M/T..... I mean they use the same engines right?

its not a question of how it sounds because to me, i love riding it in a manual mode and shifting around 3500, and it makes this nice pop. it can be a bit annoying though at low rpms when its well slow auto shifting, and just kinda sounds very unsporting and more auto trans poser with a fart cannon like.

Everyone is right you pretty much have to be in manual mode every time you drive or it just doesnt sound good. Since the day I got mine installed I've driven in manual mode every where I go and it sounds the way its supposed to. I have a video revving my engine but none of me driving. Hope it helps.http://m.youtube.com/results?q=brz%2...?v=rCuM6hEZClM

Publications? Go on youtube and watch a few videos of automatic cars with aftermarket exhausts. I don't need no stinkin' publications!

Here's a mild example in manual mode as I wasn't shifting at high rpms.
It's got the SRT catback, P&L overpipe and a catless front pipe. It's a little farty/raspy and I plan on getting the catted front pipe and adding another resonator if possible. It does sound pretty good at WOT and shifting at redline. Driving in auto sounds a bit lame. It's really too loud.
