Lost my battery terminal nut.

While I was working on the battery, it fell and it was instantly clear that I cannot retrieve it. But I still drove back and forth several times to no good.

Went to home depot and bought a m6 1.0 nut. It worked but it is only about half the height of the OEM nut. Looks so awkward. (I went to local Subaru dealer and they sell the terminal as a package. Won't sell the nut to me.)

I am quite upset. Where can I find an identical nut? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

look for a 10 mm nut at the autoparts store.

Try Walmart auto section, I've seen they sell a bunch of replacement parts for the battery terminals (they have a small display section for this particular brand in which I can't recall the name, that only sell parts related to the car battery).
