the connector might have come off since he had a high circuit code. or the car just went into limp mode from that 3" intake diameter

My guess is that he forgot to tighten down the clamps to the intake and it became loose

None of those. Really simple and stupid actually. Where I live me and some local drifters have a closed off spot for our activities, so we went out like any other night, only I had a low tank of gas.. Now, when I went for my run, the movement had sloshed what gas there was left to one side of the tank. (Our tanks have a high spot in them to clear the driveshaft tunnel) and stalling the car when I stopped.
After some time troubleshooting the intake, checking fuses, resetting the battery, we realized the fuel lines had 0 pressure in them. Thus, we threw 5 gallons of gas in the tank to remedy the situation. So basically what happened is the gauge was reading a bit less than a quarter tank of gas when reality it was actually, there was nothing. Hence throwing a lean code. The gas never shifted back over (why I would like to know also) but I'm sure if we simply jacked up the car it would have started right up. So all in all.. it could of been worse.
