This might be a REALLY stupid question but how do you extend the horn wire...

I have a 2017 Toyota 86 and actually managed to get the steering wheel buttons to work with the spacer, but the horn wire is just a little too short. Now I have to drive around with no horn which I guess is not THAT MUCH of a big deal but still makes me a little anxious...

I haven't looked exactly at it, but i think it's just one wire. So get 3" of similarly gauged wired. Trim off insulation on both ends. Cut the current wire. Trim off insulation on both ends. Solder on both ends to extend. Wrap in a bit of electrical tape or shrink tubing. Plug back in.

If it's two wires, repeat all that but with two wires instead of one.

If you don't know how to solder, google it. It's not hard, and I suck at it.

On second thought, I don't think I can swap seats because of class restrictions. But if I did swap seats, is there a solution to the passenger seat sensors? I think it has weight sensors and some other crap??

But you are right, a different seat is the answer (or sell the car). I just wonder how aftermarket seats feel.
Just swap the drivers seat with a better reclining one, no need to swap passenger seat - its more than adequate for a passenger that doesn't need to worry about getting pedal, steering wheel, and shifter in perfect alignment and can brace themselves with feet and hands Expensive enough just doing drivers seat, no need to double it.

Something like this:

Best to find a race shop that is a seat dealer and sit in their seat selection. The FR-S stock seat you sit ON, Recaro Sportster you sit IN and are fully supported... much better feel of what the chassis is doing (instantaneous as well) and padding is much better fit for thigh and butt support, along with no annoying headrest issue.

Any plans to make a matching bracket that repositions the signal stalk?

Typically one becomes very quickly acclimated to the new positioning.

Looking forward to that harness extension! Also just wanted to thank you guys for addressing this issue. Can't wait

We have sourced the necessary connectors in the relatively small quantities needed for our production volume. Working with our harness supplier on quotes, then testing. Guessing early '20 we should have them added to the site. We will update this thread when we have additional info.
