I don't think it really matters. Remember, when you want the IC to cool the charge, there is huge amounts of air coming at it.

Perrin stealth black intercooler on previous sti build, this was powder coated iirc (from perrin)

Just going to see what @MAPerformance recommends a black powder coat or the wrinkle black finish

i cheaped out on my car with the first setup, and now im trying to do it right by buying quality parts

Ding ding! We have also used that VHT wrinkle black paint and it works pretty dang well as long as its done correctly.

I used it on a Honda valve cover and it worked well.
