It kills me too, but at the same time, if you use them as a daily driver, you have to wash the wheels a couple times a week to avoid this problem, so I can't blame someone too much (unless it's really egregious).

I almost bought an E46 M3 instead of the FRS but the dbag stigma was too much for me to bare.

The comments from the yahoo! article are hilarious. Most memorable:

What's the difference between a porcupine and a BMW?

A porcupine keeps its' pricks on the outside.

lol I came from the BMW world, and I can readily say that yes, alot of the guys are jerks.

BUT, you can divide it even further, we had our own mini-sects.

I came from the 1 series. We're a humble bunch from the 'cheapest' model (My 135i was over $50k brand new lol), who view ourselves as true enthusiasts. The 1 series is kind of a no-frills driver's car, so our forum wasn't filled with 3 series or 5 series guys asking which $6000 exhaust system was prettier in their cf diffusor. We were the guys posting up DIYs on meth systems and figuring out which M3 parts would beef up our suspension, ya know, car stuff. Not elitest jerky stuff.

...

GIVE ME A CHANCE, I CAN CHANGE.

I love the E36 M3, I would gladly accept the stigma that comes from driving a BMW for that car!

I seem to see more DBag behavior coming from guys with big dually trucks that are between 18 and 35. Maybe its just a Texas thing.
