Good question.

Couple of things first. These particular Ohlins (SUS-MI20) were recently discontinued (good reminder for us to close this thread).

What is now available is the SUS MP20. They are still Road & Tracks, but now use 40 N/mm front springs and 30 N/mm rear. And they do not come with camber plates/top hats.
You can check out the complete product details here: http://www.roadandtrackbyohlins.com/...oyota_GT86.pdf

We've never tried adjusting Ohlins to the stock height, but we imagine you at least can get pretty close.

We're actually installing the new SUS-MP20 on a customer vehicle in the next couple weeks.
We'll set them all the way up at first and see where the car sits.

I think that @BigFatFlip can help out with this question.

Correct, these can be set-up to stock height or even higher if you really wanted to. The over all ride height is limited by the rears since the fronts are essentially what's found on the wrx and can go much higher than the rears (unless you want that "low rider" look )

I'm currently set-up near stock, but ride slightly higher than stock due to my 225 tires.

One thing is ride height. One can up that with any coilovers by simply using lift spacers (eg. from subtle-solutions) above tophats or camplates. That won't change bumpless travel of shocks though. Best possible way would be to both lift car for extra ground clearance & have more shock travel, but most of aftermarket coilovers are targeted at lowering crowd with minimum drop being below stock and paired with reduced travel. IIRC only billstein B6 were for of stock height. Above - only TRD rally coilovers (+10mm). Many suggested KWs or RCE Tarmacs based on them, as while having less then stock height, they have more travel, so that + spacers imho might make up sensible combo. I omitted custom built to order rally suspension options, as $5-15K probably is out of budget for most.

Great info. Sadly, I do not think there is an alignment shop in this area which I would trust to get it all right.

Take a look at the labeled photos below. They show the adjustment points for Ohlins recommendation, stock height and the adjustment limit for the new SUSMP20 Ohlins Road & Tracks. They can be adjusted to stock height.

Please, don't write in all-caps. It's considered as shouting in forums.
As for hitting bumpstops, sounds more then possible, given such soft spring rates. Looks like in new version these became only Road, not Track anymore .

No feedback from our customer with these yet.

Did you set them up according Ohlins specifications? Are you sure it is the damper bottoming out or could it be just a harsh bump? Or the chassis itself contacting the road?

If they are set to Ohlins specifications, trying adjusting the damping to a harder setting (in the 1-7 clicks range for example).

We are working on a Stage 2+ kit that will be more track oriented for the weekend warriors, stay tuned!

We have a little more testing to do before we are set on the spring rates. We can offer any valving and spring rate now with the stage 2 kit, at a price... We are also working on camber plates for the kit.
