I'm pretty sure the fullblown car with the stage 2 kit is running on E85 aswell, makking it that bit more 'safer' than running 25psi on 93/98 petrol

Just to reinforce your point of view, there is no other way to go over 20 psi, you REQUIRE to use E85. 93/98 would go BOOOOOOMMMMM

True that! 90% of the cars at drag events run on E85. The 10% that run on 93/98 are mostly NA 4 bangers that go to drags to versus other NA 4 bangers (ahhh the nostalgiac days where i used to drag my friends Integra Type S with my Celica). There's a gas station close to Eastern Creek that has E85, and the queue at that station is worse than rush hour in Manhatton!

I wish i could find out. I was on the stands with my binoculars. And all i can hear from the BRZ is the turbo. Dont think it had twin turbo like the 2JZGTE. The FPV GT smashed it from the line for about 3 secs and its wheels got traction almost immediately. The BRZ rear wheels spun for a while and smoked and then got traction. Then turbo kicked in, i heard it very faintly over the supercharged v8 exhaust roar.

putting a 2jz in a car like this is pointless imo .. it would be like putting an anchor in front of a miata ..

This car was at the strip today, it spun all all the way through the track, had a boost leak and missed 5th gear constantly and the weather was 38C ( about 100F). The car is going to get sticker tires and fix the issues for next week and hopefully will do very very low 10's considering this car is running 600rwhp atm ! Ekanoo racing FTW

Not sure if it is back up and running. Last I heard he wasn't chasing crazy numbers or 1/4 mile times.

For those wanting the highest hp 86 in Oz you'll need well over 300rwkw. That's the most I've seen to date.

Do you know if that's from a custom kit or if an off the shelf job?
Mines been at the dyno the last few weeks (after hours) trying to tune it using BRZedit as that's the program my tuner wants to use and is starting from scratch.. I just want to drive it already lol

It's a custom kit with a Visconti tune. He's upgrading turbo now as he wants more power :-)

The Ford was not the GT nor was it a Mustang GT. It is a Australian FPV (Ford performance vehicle) GT, that has a quadcam supercharged v8 (also the same engine in the Jaguar XKR) but FPV tuned it to get more power.

The australian government doesnt like Ford, because it eats away at Holden and Chevrolet's market share. So Ford cannot make over-powerful cars. Ford makes the GT and said that it is 450hp was at the crank, but it is actually 450hp at the wheels so the government wont know.
It's not that the Gov't hates Ford, so much that Ford Australia is hated by Ford US. They tried to globalise Falcon and got told that "there's a global platform in the works" about six times. First the global platform was Taurus. Then it was Fusion. Then it was Mondeo. Then Fusion again. Then Mondeo again again.

Meanwhile police districts in the US have been crying out for a cheap to maintain (Hello, Ford Falcon?) car with a reliable drivetrain (>800,000km on petrol I6s? Falcon, where are you?) that's front engine RWD (Falcon!) for not much money (Established platform, cheap to produce or it wouldn't be being made anymore). And instead have been getting Tauruses and Explorers. So they've been buying Caprice PPVs instead...

Seriously, every Falcon since BA has been LHD ready but Ford US has never even greenlit a trial. In fact they stomped on every trial but took the technology (including implimentation of the 2L Turbo in RWD configuration) for the next Mustang.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.
