I just find it odd to single out that rhetoric and defend the frs for being faster than a car that came out in 2005. The point is that it's stupid to criticize the camaro for being slow.

I don't remember criticizing it for being slow.
I think it's stupid to criticize the 86 for being slow. That actually HAS happened in the last two pages.

Exactly! The whole picking a choosing what is called faster than something else was my point. The generic term of "Miata" was thrown out there. There are faster ones and slower ones. There are faster and slower Camaros. There are faster and slower versions of every car ever made. It is all just number games and as soon as the numbers work in favour of the Camaro, Twins or whatever people want to discard them as irrelevant.

"The X is slower than the Y and Z"
"But it is faster than the A through W"
"So what, it is slower than the X and Z so it is a slow car"

It's almost as if you aren't the only person that posts on this forum. The 86 is slow but I'm not criticizing it for that.

It isn't slow. It is just slower than some now.

I think it's important to judge things by contemporary standards. It's slower than most sports cars of its era. That doesn't mean I don't think it's one of the best of its era.

Meh. If they made it faster then everybody would just up what they were comparing it against.
It is right in line with the cars of similar price point so saying "most" sports cars is sort of meaningless.

I didn't say it was faster than most.
You said most are faster. They are. But there is a very common theme among those that are faster.

You can think it is slow all you want but that doesn't make it true.

I said it's slow and you said it wasn't but with everything you said in this outside of that point, I totally agree with. I even said I think it's one of the best sports cars out today.

Me thinking it's slow makes it as true as you thinking it's fast does. I don't think fast is the point of these cars or sports cars in general.

Come one guys, it's 2018. It is not slow, it is "passing power challenged."

I have spoken to a few at the track that have also complained about the soft sidewalls and temperature limit of the PSS. Adjusting to -3/-2 f/r camber helped with the outer shoulders, but the tire overall still looks miserable after track. No such issues with R-S3's. The same sweepers that the MPSS get greasy on, the R-S3 is happy. My driving style is pretty conservative, I never overcook entry and use minimum throttle to turn my car on exit.
