Well I have a manual at one of my other stores if I can get it would you be interested? I said well I'm sure you could not meet my price. He said what's your price we talked back-and-forth and we agreed on a price to my shock. $27000.
The sticker was $31,000+. Then the next hurdle was, would they transfer over from my car to the new one. My wheels and tires , TRD springs,TRD air filter, and exhaust?
He said it would be more than he could work into the deal. So I said ok thanks, I will pass. Then he said wait let me ask my service department for there estimate.he came back and said if I can do it for you will you buy the car today. I said how much for my 86 with 5500 miles.
He said $23,000. I said let's do it. So now I have dropped off my 86 and will pick up the 860 tomorrow late in the day. The only thing I will have to purchase and install again in my Apple car play head unit. One question I do have is. I bought the Toyota Center console lid that opens to the side with silver stitching, for my 86 that I traded in today. Do any of you know if anyone makes one with black vinyl and orange Stitching console lid?
The dealer does not have one they can order.
Ron
Just think,if you would've waited to get the oil changed when you really are supposed to (7500 miles),chances are,you wouldn't have got the car.

Very true, except the sticker they put on the inside of my windshield mistakenly said 5000 mile service interval. So they tricked me.

Well in my case it was "oh new car two years before planned? There was this bracelet I was looking at" but you are close enough.

You can do whatever you want with your money, but why trade in an 86 for an 86? It just the paint and wheels that are different. You could have done a lot with the money you will be set behind with.

Very true, except the things I could not upgrade, like, heated seats, dual zone A/C, the dash gauges, and just the fog lights are $1000 to add after you buy the car. Plus the seats and orange stitching, plus the trunk spoiler.
My 949 wheels, cat back exhaust and TRD springs. Were all transferred from my 86 to the 860. Be leave me, I have never done this before, and most probably will never again. Luckily I am at a point in my life that the money was not a fatal mistake.
Ron
