Taking delivery-What to look for!!

Hi All,

I'll be taking delivery of my FR-S tomorrow morning, and I was wondering what you would look for if you could go back and do it again? I know some issues were

Plugs in frame not being installed during PDI
ECU being older model number
Manual transmission fluid level

The VIN shows this car is really new compared to some of the rides on this forum so I'm assuming some of this stuff will have been fixed??

Last 6 are 712679.

Thanks!

Turn on the car & turn on every single option/switch make sure everything works!
Also make sure to check all the panels to make sure it all lines up.
Don't let them wash the car & leave the stickers on.
Don't let them drill holes into your bumper.
Be picky as hell!!!! At the point they just want you out of there.

If you didn't finialize the papers yet, I recommend you drive the actual car first. That's what I did.

Yeah I missed the no-wash zone, it's been sitting on the lot for two days. And I haven't signed any paperwork so I will definitely be driving it. Thanks!

I picked mine up on Monday. I told the dealer not to wash it and they followed my instruction. Also, no dealer decals on the back. And no front plate. I washed the car when I got home and it looked good. But after a couple days, I'm seeing a few lines on the car, at first I thought they were scratches, but after a closer look, its the residue from the stickers on the body panels, like the edges of the plastic, some of the adhesive was left behind. (I also found bits and pieces of this plastic in certain cracks and in between some panels here and there). So i'm going to have to wash it again and pay close attention to these marks to make sure these come off. I'm glad I didn't polish or wax them in because that would have made it worse. These residue lines come off with a little extra elbow grease, so no big deal.

Am I the only one that doesn't really care about any of this (other than front plate drilling)?

I just picked up my car and started driving the shit out of it. I've only washed it about 4 times in 5 months of ownership.

Yeah. Same thing happened from my car. It was on the roof of my car and I thought they were scratches but it was just adhesive. Haha

yep that's exactly where I found the first one, then once I noticed that one, I started spotting them elsewhere.
