I had 4 cars at the time that I was driving so that's probably why I never got that experience lol. Plus, it sat in the garage and rarely moved lol.

No regrets here. The seating position and handling make it the sportiest sedan I've ever driven (that includes 335i, s4, and q50). Make sure you drive the car in Sport+ mode, it goes from a quiet camry to a properly tuned sports car.

Only downside is that no one can tuned the lexus ECU. So the aftermarket and tuning option is very limited. Stillen, however are coming out with a supercharger kit.

If you are looking for something more powerful, i would look into 335i or s4. but both are roughly $10k more with same option.

I'm waiting for the price to drop, I love the new body style but I can't afford a used 350 fsport yet, I can afford a 2nd gen IS350 FSport, or I can grab a used IS250 Fsport 3rd gen :\

The 250 is a dog, don't do it. Hold out for the 350 or the new turbo variant.

Here are some of the descriptions I came up for the current Lexus signature front-end designs:

"Predator's face"

"Hourglass"

"Warped face"

I think i'm going to get a 2012 or 2013 IS350 with the fsport package, can anyone tell me what the FSport package includes (on the 2nd generation IS, not the 3rd) because I'm having a hard time locating a 2nd gen 350 with the f package

My mother is just waiting for the next generation convertible to come out. When the IS is paid off, she's going to buy the vert for the weekend. By that point, I should be in my C7, and probably dailying a cheap used LS.

How did you like your second generation IS350 (2011) the 2nd gen with the fsport package is RIGHT in my budget line

It was alright. If you have fat thighs like me, the seats were much more comfortable. The transmission didn't revmatch at all in manual mode and the paddles were absolutely useless. However, left to its own devices in "power" mode, it worked well. It would aggressively downshift under braking and hold gears through corners. The steering was not nearly as direct as the current car.

The 3IS seats have very stiff thigh bolsters that are pretty narrow. I'm 6ft 280, and my thigh sits on top of the bolster. If I owned the car, I'd have to figure out a solution for the thigh pain. The 2IS had a much less bolstered seat. More comfort, less support.

Avoid 335i at all costs. Most unreliable piece of crap.

2016 Lexus IS gets a 240hp turbo engine?!?!

Saw a commercial for the new Lexus IS when I was at work earlier and I though it was too good to be true. I looked online and it's legit...

http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/

The IS200 will have a 240hp turbo engine and there will also be an IS300 (it's back!!!) and IS350 model. Finally, after a decade they've gotten rid of that anemic 2.5 liter V6. I'm highly considering picking up an IS200 in the next year or so now...It has a base price of $38,000 though. Seems a bit steep.
