Trying to find the LT parts. Not having any luck.

edit: Looks like ebay is my friend, but not knowing if it will work. I'll save my money. Still waiting on the mounts, so waiting to see what 100% fits doesn't hurt me any. Doesn't appear to be any aftermarket pulley that I can find.

I just got to thinking about the CAN system. I realized that my GM ECU only has two plugs (Grey and Black) and all the other ECUs I am seeing have 3 (Grey, Black, and Blue). Going to have to do some research on if this is going to work. May end up having to buy a GM LS3 controller kit and get it tuned to the engine after all. Going to try and keep the Ethanol sensor working with the new fuel set-up. Will have the car tuned for e85 as well.

Edit: Scratch that. Just a different type of ECU. Shouldn't cause any issues from what I could tell.

E38 has two plugs, E40 and E67 have three.

They just used higher pin density connectors for the E38 to consolidate. Nothing to worry about.

The problem with that statement is the Vorshlag kit isn't available yet. We don't know what parts will be included in the finalized swap kit, but going off what I assume will be released, no.

The CX Racing kit doesn't include the driveshaft, and is known to be sub-par quality wise. Though it seems quite a few people have used them with no issue.

Weapons Grade Kit although complete, was said to have some issues (per some of the talk in the Vorshlag thread). Many mentions to stay away from the company altogether. (Though their stuff does look decent)

At this point, it comes down the preference and what you are willing to spend. Vorshlags product just seems to be the best on the market IMO. The amount of info they have provided during the process also helps.

I can 100% vouch for the quality of their kit , not that you or anyone reading this knows me or can qualify my opinion but I have been an aircraft mechanic for 26 years for a major airline working in mostly overhaul, part of my job is installing modifications as "kits" from Boeing , General Electric, Rolls Royce, Pratt Whitney etc. to engines and airframe, yes this happens all the time in my industry,.........my point being is ease of installation with no hassles, fit and quality of workmanship is absolutely above par with this company......I would definitely stay away from any other company unless you willingly want to buy less quality......Last, I have 10k plus miles on the Vorschlag kit now and with exception of ground clearance issues , which are now fixed , have had zero issues.

I thought your car was missing a bunch of features compared to factory? Does your car retain all functions it has from factory?

From what I've read the vorshlag kit may be high quality but it seems to be rather incomplete.

You are talking about Gauge Cluster, ABS, Power Steering and such right? In which case, none of the current swap kit solutions retain these. Except for Motec, Emtron, and the MRS Electronic Can device. All of which are separate from the swap kits.

You also lose front sway bar, but Vorshlag is said to be working on a custom front sway bar to fix this.

1- the MRS device brings all factory function back?

2- as far as the swap itself goes, vorshlag either needs to make a new sway bar or a different oil pan?

That's exactly what they Vorschlag has already done, they have a different sway bar prototype and relocation sway bar mounts.....I split company with them before it was finalized.

As far as can bus, yes Colin has stated all functionality will work, it's a matter of deciphering data from the Toybaru PCM/ECU......nobody is paying him to do this and he has regular job tasks that have a priority over this small potatoes niche market.....most of the deciphering he is doing is on his own time and it's a very daunting task indeed. What would immensely speed things up is someone to lend him a working BRZ/FRS to work on.

New Shop update video from Vorshlag. I got more and more concerned as the video went on as no update on the swap kit, until the end where they dropped really good news/update. Excited. Still waiting on transmission, not had any updates on it. When I order the rest of the swap kit, I will probably ask about any info they have on that.
