Depends. I DD my car, so wet traction is important to me; the top-tier street tires aren't going to be comparable in the rain. Combine that lack of wet traction with the noise you get on Extreme Performance Summer tires and I think I might have found my new favorite tire.

I ran them on my turbo mustang and they performed well. That car was just a pig so any tires I put on this car feel more responsive haha

Not sure why the Continental ExtremeContact DW's aren't in that list. I get crazy good traction, amazing wet traction, great road noise, and lots of tread. Cheaper than the PSS' too. Seems like the best bang for the buck. I do really like the PSS though. I may try them next round if I can get them on sale in a few years.

Tire rack just chooses four tires four each test. No particular reason to exclude one brand.

The Conti DW also gets rave reviews from everyone who tries them. They are good value and fairly lightweight.

I don't think you can go wrong with either tire. The PSS is a great all around tire. It's not the fastest dry tire and that's why people don't race/autocross on them but most of the competitors in the One Lap run them since they work really well in both the dry and wet.

The Conti DW is probably the best wet street tire, but doesn't have the dry grip of the PSS.

All the tires he listed will be faster than the PSS. The PSS is a great all round tire, but they're not in the same class as ZII, Rival, RE-11A, AD08, RS3

I've been running the PSS for about half the summer season. Only downside I would say is that they wear out quick. What have you guys been running for PSI on the PSS?

Not on a good level road if I just take off from the light and then punch it.

I am still running my 265/35/18s at factory ratings of 35 psi. What are you doing to wear them out? They are a 30,000 mile tire, and mine haven't been wearing out too quick.

All bets are off then, haha. It always surprised me how brutal an AutoX course can be on tires even when compared to a track weekend at a road course.
