Just got back from a trip to Japan!

Toyota Car showcase
Gazoo racing LFA:

Gazoo GT86 which is 48k USD:

TRD + Gazoo?

Diecast Subarus:

I did this really cool rental car/tour experience called Fun2DriveJDM. Where you rent a car and drive the great roads of initial D and other mountain roads. My Rental of choice was R34 GTR. You drive in these conveys with headsets you can hear the tour guide. it was so much fun. Driving on left side and opposite of the road took about 40 minutes to get use. Still had to think about which lane to turn into and which turn signal to use. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

My Rental:

Rental HQ:

Evo 6 & 86:

Convoy stops for lunch:

Mountain twisties

Driving through small mountain towns. These roads are two way...

It was pretty crazy how rare the 86 and BRZ are in Japan. In my whole 5 days there I only saw 3. Overall, an amazing trip. If any of you get the chance to go to Tokyo I recommend it.

Awesome! Messaged you on IG about it, don't know if you saw since you might not follow me.

I'm heading there in March/April. Any car-related recommendations? I'm already planning to rent an 86 through Toyota rent-a-car for a few days to check out Daikoku PA and then drive through Gunma and possibly meet up with at least one fellow 86 buddy.

You should follow some Japanese 86/brz owners! They have some massive meets!

I'd recommend doing fun2driveJDM if you have a day to dedicate and funds($300-$1000+) depending on car. Its nice to have a local give you a tour of such great roads. I was also considering a rental 86 from Toyota. My trip was mostly in Tokyo with one day out for car stuff. So this seemed like the best experience in a short amount of time. I'm sure you'll have a blast on your trip. It's an awesome country.

I didn't see the IG message but now I followed you back and it shows up.

That TME EVO is just.....

Japan is a really fun trip. I went to STI headquarters and the Nissan museum. Didn't get enough time to do much else but I'll be back someday for more motorsports related activities.

Great place to make friends, eat good food, and see cool stuff.

Ran into another WRB tS. So of course had to grab some photos of two in one place. The other tS was complete stock. So it interesting to see the difference knowing I started back at complete stock.

I happened to run into this other tS on my way to do some drifting. Went to a new racetrack. Spirit Peak raceway which is about halfway between in Seattle and Portland. Continuing to get more confident in my drifting which is really cool.

Car just crossed over 6000 miles. So time for an oil change. Ordered up some motul 300v.

Update:
Oil changed completed at Stew's garage in Kirkland WA. Afterwards I met up with another tS owner for some night shots in downtown Bellevue.

Oil Change:

Night Photos:

I joined the The Shop automotive club in Seattle. Its a sweet club which you can meet other car enthusiast. They also have lifts, tools, wash bays, and tire mounting equipment for members. For additional fee you can store your car in their warehouse. I got to check out all the cool cars stored there. Lots of high dollar stuff. Ill take some pictures next time I'm there.
https://theshopclubs.com/

I used the wash bay after joining. it's really nice.

I went out drifting again. Was a really busy day at Spirit Peaks raceway. I was feeling nervous again. But I pushed through my nervousness and set out on the track. Starting the day out I was doing ok. a few spin outs. a few good drifts. Then towards the end of the day I crossed over the hump. I was able to do two laps of drifting the full course every turn. It felt great! The seat time is really helping. Excited to continue my progression at the cost of many tires

drift missile breakdown:

Car crossed 6600 miles. Excited to do some track driving this summer. Ive also decided I am going to start doing autocross as well. Maximum seat time is my goal. I believe I have an exhaust leak cause my car was a lot louder on the drive home. Lol TBH im loving the loudness. But, I still get it fixed up this week.
