gold looks great, but you'll be amazed how much dirt, rubber, and brake dust gravel will build up in just two or three runs on the autocross. The darker grays/ hyperblack will definitely be better for track days. I'm using the continental extreme contacts...equivalent to super sports in category but have a 30000 mile warranty. worth a look.

Yeah I'm using the Continental ExtremeContact Sports as well.. I can't comment on track/autox yet since I haven't done either since getting them, but these perform superbly well on the canyon runs. Not sure how often you're (@QueenBRZ) doing those lately! But for the price I'd say they're great, and they add so much to the drivability of the car.

Grey on grey!!!!

EDIT: Oh as for tires...the MP4S are IMO the perfect street tire, but a little more limited at the track. You can absolutely use them and have a great time but they'll get hot and fade off eventually. Not bad to learn on though. Depends how serious you want to get!

The GT Radial SX2 is a popular choice for a good track tire that lasts and is easy to learn on.

Either color you can't go wrong. As far tires if you want to try something new Firestone Indy 500 firehawks are great tires that are on the same vain as the MPSS's but for alot less. Like mine so far.

Anyways that's it for the update today, but rest assured Wheels/Tires are definitely needed next.
For your daily track tire, check out GT Radial SX2. They are the official tire sponsor for 86Cup. Actually, check out www.86cup.us. It's a time attack series for the twins. 949Racing, along with Counterspace Garage, Winmax, Westend, Bluemoon, Delicious Tuning and GT Radial support the series so they can give you more advice on how to build your daily track car

2019 schedule will be released soon, just waiting on Laguna Seca. But we will be visiting a lot of Buttonwillow and Streets this year.

Also, Beryllium!

Thanks for the recommendation. I tried purchasing GT Radials SX2, but was told unless I was already apart of the 86Cup I could not buy them from GT Radial. Also all the other chain tire stores did not want to order them. So I’m still on the search for how to get the SX2 tires.

tirecrawler.com has a fresh stock of SX2. 86Cup and a few canyon groups have been buying these tires a lot.

Check out 86cup in facebook to for the latest updates.

I went from MPSS to Hankook RS4 and have been very happy.

They hooked well (wet and dry) around VIR, and I drive on them every day right now.

Thanks for the instagram follow, we have the same color car, model and year (@its_andre227). Maybe our builds will go down a similar path, I remember looking at those spoiler risers but I didn't think they would change the look so much. Turns out, they are perfect!

Alright guys! This update isn’t really focused on my BRZ but rather my EK project. I recently found this company called 1320 Performance who sells an Unequal length header for the Civic B series and D series. Yes I said that sentence. An unequal length header for the D series. If any of you are familiar with d series engines, they actually sound awful once you open them up with a catback / aftermarket header. So obviously anything that can make the D series sound better is worth it, right?

So I began to search the internet for reviews or video clips of this header but was disappointed to find barely anything was documented regarding these headers. So naturally I bit the bullet, took one for the team and bought the headers.

The unboxing / install was a breeze and I was actually very impressed with the quality of the product. Not to mention the sound!!

The UEL headers make the D series sound amazing!!! It literally sounds like I have a EJ25 engine in my civic now. I’m in love with it. I know a bunch of you may hate on it, but at the end of the day, I’m just trying to enjoy my car. So I’ll put my flame coat on.

Anyways, enough typing. If you want to see the install / sound clip comparison between my STI and my EK with the UEL headers, check out the video below.

Let me know what you guys think
