Group B. And even in B, I was getting passed all over the place. Lot of cars with a lot of power last weekend.

It was actually a little frustrating. Some obviously boosted cars would blow by me and then drive a shit line in the corners. But their overall lap time was faster, so I just had to sit behind them in the corners and wait for the next straight so I could have some clean track again.

Edit: man, I sure have been whining a lot. It was a fun weekend. My gf finally came out and joined me again, which was nice.

We at NWAA are still on for September 17th. A full day of track time. 6 sessions in classes and then an hour of free for all at the end. By far the most time on track for your money anywhere around. $185 is all. Sign up on MSR and come out and join us.

That's the issue with most ORP events. They have a numbers quota they try to meet a month before the event and a ton get cancelled. So disappointing, I love that track.

I am thinking about heading down to Thunderhill on OCT 9th for a round of the 86 Norcal challange. Anyone interested in road tripping down?

If you do and you need some work done, consider calling in on Neal at The Racers Line in Concord. I think he knows more about the 86 than anyone else. I think he's running in the NorCal, too.

Neal is super cool, I've had him work on my car before back when I lived in Norcal. Great prices too. IIRC his shop is a couple hours south of Thunderhill.

I've pulled off for a bit at the ridge just to get some open road instead being stuck in a bunch of traffic. Would recommend trying it.

My car's still down with the broken header, so I had to cancel. Done for the year, it seems. Sold off my RPF1s and got some new 57CRs for next season, though.

Bummer! What are you going to replace it with? 57CR ftw.
