What Is This Thing?
I was replacing my cabin filter with the Blitz one, and I noticed two new things to me. First being an extra 12v outlet behind the glove box. And the second, I circled in the pictures below. It looks like it says "RO8F" and appears to be a female connection/plug. Anyone know what it is and used for? Thanks.

Looks like a port for a USB but not sure.
On a side note, did you notice any improvement gains through that Blitz cabin air filter?

It's not going to be way better than stock, but it should last longer. I've had mine for 6 months without issues. Take it out every 3 months or so and reuse it. -alex |

I haven't driven it yet, just replaced the filter and went back inside. I'm hoping it filters out the crap it says it will. I drive a lot, so it'd be nice to have really clean air, and I drive on a highway going through marshland, so it can smell really bad. We'll find out in time.

Mine is a manual Monogram. I was looking at that diagram before I posted, and thought the placement is more likely the Certification ECU Assembly, but I have no clue what that is either. I'll be washing it probably around that often since I drive around 21k miles a year. lol. Just sucks you have to wait 6 hours while it's drying in the sun. |

Just googled what that ECU assembly is, and it appears to be related to the smart key system.

12 volt "behind" the glove box? This isn't the normal one in the glove box?
The other plug is not mentioned in the owner's manual. Maybe a reference in the service manual and I will look when I am bored sometime because now I need to know.

Yes, the OCD in me made me rotate the 12v cover so it's "straight."

Check your Monogram Owner's manual for some reference to the other thing. If something to do with the remote key then it will not be referenced in mine.

Makes sense, the wiring diagram points to shift lock/immobilizer as part of this circuit...

Eh, I like the default settings, so I won't bother with it. Haha. Thanks everyone.

The 8th gen Civics had a setting in which the doors automatically locked when you reach 9mph. That would be great for the twins.
