Carbon driveshaft from DSS

Hi guys, I bought the dss carbon driveshaft from @R2RO, but my mech said it’s way too short, it’s about 7-8” short compared to oem. Is this normal ??

It measured 47” long and about 3.5” thick vs stock @ 55” long.

When I checked out the current one on sale on the driveshaft shop, the part number is TOSH86-C compared to the one I have now as TOSH86-CF.

Just going for the low hanging fruit but are you sure you have the right one for your transmission? ie not using one for the auto with the manual trans

TOSH86 is for manual trans
TOSH87 is for auto trans
So you have the correct part number for a manual. I would definitely check with DSS and see what they say the length should be.

Nope it isn’t normal. I bought a brand new shaft from the DSS and it measured longer and thinner.

Mislabeled drive shaft sounds like. If I had a dollar for every time I received a mislabeled part, I could at the very least get a decent lunch.
