For humfrz and for Alexes4 to not feel too bad
Darn those MGBs !! Had my '63 MGB(not fastback GT) on some Italian mountain roads in '69 and luckily ran off the "good" side of the road. Pretty funny getting that small tree unstuck from between by rear bumper and side panel, hahahaha.

I bought the J2 in 1970 and kept it until last year. My brother in law and I worked on it for several years. He was a furniture builder and replaced a lot of the coach work. He found patterns from a guy in Canada. I worked on the mechanical, a very interesting group of systems.
When he died very suddenly I kind of lost interest in the project. It was sold just over a year ago and went back to England. Very few prewar sports cars. If you went to a larger show almost guaranteed a trophy.
