Just replace your badges with the emblems off a 1972 Plymouth Cricket and be done with it.

The clicking noises you hear when you turn off the car come from the header as it cools. This is a normal sound that many vehicles with headers make. It's the sound of a sports car catching its breath after a good run.

The chirping sound is the high pressure fuel pump. That is also normal, even if people don't like it. There is no 100% reliable permanent fix for it.

As for your neighbor, I would suggest installing an electric muffler cutout that you can keep closed during most of your driving but open as you approach your home to give him the full unmuffled glory of your boxer engine. Do that a few times and he won't care about crickets or clicking.

There's a start. What mods do you have? What year and model? How many miles? There has to be a reason some get them and some don't.

Ps: i have them on my brz 2014 with 2300 miles. Purchased 2 months ago.

The main reason some people get them and some dont, is that some people get gas with little to no ethanol in it, while most people DO have ethanol in their gas. The ethanol is what causes the chirps.

Additionally, some people are so unobservant that they never even realize that they DO have them. Ive known two people who didnt think they had the crickets, but i immediately noticed it when i heard their cars at idle.

Except when it's E85. Then the chirps magically go away and blow that theory completely out of the water.
