FT-86 SpeedFactory Front Splitter - Pics + Data

I know we have been hunting for a good front splitter for our race car just like a few others and there really isn't a straight forward option out there.

We tried an APR one, and honestly were not impressed. For something "made" for the car it had no install instructions and no holes drilled anywhere for mounting. Not straight forward and not something we can recommend to the weekend track guys needing a quick and easy solution.

So we looked for a solution that would be quick to install, provide instructions, and be something very functional with the data to back it up. This is what is pictured below.

This front splitter that comes with instructions, air flow data, and hardware to install with no drilling or guess work. It's not bumper specific so it will work on the FRS or BRZ as well.

This splitter creates downforce, reduces drag, and improves aerodynamic balance.

@ 100mph

- Drag Force Decrease: 1 lb
- Total Downforce Increase: 43 lbs.
- Front Downfroce Increase: 23 lbs.
- Rear Downforce Increase: 20 lbs
- Aerodynamic Balance: 40/60

Full CFD Breakdown - PDF Document

Combine this with a Driveway Labs T1 diffuser and you got yourself a nice increase in aerodynamic balance.

More testing along with videos coming soon.

At that point you will need to fabricate your own mounting solution. The lip from those kits would lower the point of the splitter and change the entire tested parameters. You would also need to get longer bolts and spacers to mount then.

You would also probably never be able to use a driveway again.

Looks sweet! On the website, it is named the "Street Performance". Will there be a race version?

My offer for trade is still open. No Starbucks gift cards though, just the chips will bring it to about a matching price point.

Splitter is water jet cut (same process for cutting metal, that's how hard it is) from a proprietary plastic. It is stronger and lighter than ABS and very durable.

This is really nice! I have an APR splitter for my SRT-4 and while it is a solid product I must agree, they sent it to me in a box with just the splitter itself and some bolts and the two rods. No paper work or anything. So I kinda lined it up with the bumper and drilled some holes and hoped for the best lol
