Maybe I just shouldn't own this car

Some may remember, from a earlier this year, that I had hail storm damage to my car for around 16k. It took several months to get fixed but finally got it all squared away. Well now I got car jacked by a deer last night. It was a true set up, momma deer came loping out and I swerved and braked to miss her, her bamby snuck up and head butted the side of my car. Hood crumpled, passanger door and quarter panel crushed, and not sure what else.

I'm afraid that if I get it fixed again the gods are going to start a plague to keep me out of the car.

Oh well, I have really good insurance for a reason I guess. Tis the season for the deer to start roaming, everyone be safe.

See if you can just get your insurance to get that car totalled and just get a new one. As much as I love my car, if I had to see it get that damaged and repaired over and over again, I'd rather get rid of it and get a new one.

How fast were you going? I've heard even at slow speeds, the damage is not pretty. Hope you are OK. The car loves you man. Don't give up on her.

From an "earlier year":

'Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small,
large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense.
Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.' -
Sir Winston Churchill
Speech, 1941, Harrow School

Hopefully you have/are getting a diminished value claim approved by your insurance co. That is crazy bad luck! Glad to hear you're okay though.

This car would look pretty awesome with a tow-hook mounted anti-deer shotgun.

For a change was driving less than the speed limit. The woods come right up next to the road and I swerved/braked to get around momma putting the car as much in the ditch as I dared when bambi jumped me.
If I had been speeding like normal I would have been past that point and missed the deer.

Luckily noone was hurt (except bambi). The damage is not to severe, kind of wish it was worse so I could do like a poster from above stated and get it totaled and buy a new one. I failed to read the cursed disclaimer that came with the invoice on the car nor did I see the part about old farts shouldn't have sports cars.

Before anyone asks, yes the guy that helped me get out of the ditch harvested the deer so it wasnt a total loss.

Glad you weren't hurt. Sucks about the deer. I wish our country had elevated earthen walkways for critters to cross safely...

I was going for immobilization/lowering the impact point, but if you want to vaporize it, sure.
