What do people say about your car?

Most people think I wipe my ass with money, everyone thinks this car is the price of a gt3. :p Always telling people its cheap for what the car really is.

I gave rides to three different people at my last autocross and one of them in particular was blown away. He and his son were there and he was driving a supercharged GTO.

After the run, I'm paraphrasing a little:

"This car is completely stock? I read all about them when they came out but I had no idea how fun they were with no mods. It just stays so flat through corners - now I get why they got reviewed so well. Awesome car."

Yup same for me. From August 2012 up until about end of last year I would get people stopping me, staring, thumbs up, almost daily. Even had a UPS guy follow me for 3 blocks to my house just to talk about the car...

Funniest is when I came out of the bank to see an old guy with both hands peering through my tinted windows (left finger prints on the window.... bastard)... nice guy though chatted him up a bit

But now in the Bay Area these are too common.... only car I see more often are Tesla Model S's now... LOL

still got a lot of good comments from the high school kids though.... "my dream car"... "take me for a ride"... lol. makes me feel old. I am old. dammit.

I get a ton of questions. My 12 year old loves to ride with me and is convinced everyone stops me to ask questions. It's funny to be near a Porsche and no one is looking at it - not even the Porsche owner.

I can't believe that Jerermy Clarkson said that the looks were nothing special

Too funny - I just posted above and a chick at work just walked past my office on her way out to lunch. She looked back over her shoulder and said "Gonna take my car" - meaning my car. I said ok but fill it up!

She races muscle cars at the track on the weekends.

There's a guy who always sees me aggressively driving through the apartment complex. He said today "Man you must beat the hell outta that thing!"

And I'm like.. "Sorry, it drives like a gokart, I'm getting 30mpg".. he looked at me like I was crazy. We then talked for 20 minutes like old friends

Then at work the other day, one of our japanese coworkers stopped me.. "Is it you? You have the.. blue.. Suabru?" me: "Yeah I love it".. him "Wow, it is amazing!" Everyone I work with has bland sedans and SUVs. I plan to mod the shit out of this thing. The only other cool car in the lot is a Focus ST. :p

Only a few times have other guys stopped me randomly and complimented the car. Usually it's women.

When I had the WRX or the STI, the very rare random comments were almost always from other guys.

Leaving a restaurant parking lot yesterday just as an employee was getting out of a thoroughly thrashed fart can equipped Del Sol (at least I think that's what it was) and he gave me a big smile and said "I really like that car!"
I had an older gentleman walk up to me in the grocery store parking lot and start a conversation about it. He loved the color and the lines. He completely agreed when I told him the view from the rear corner always makes me picture a female sprinter crouched in the blocks waiting for the starting gun. There's just something about the curve of the rear fenders...

I get no comments either. At the very beginning (May 2012) I did because it was so new, but it was just people asking what it was and if it was fast (Subaru and no, not at all).

Since probably July of 2012 I don't think I've gotten a single comment on the car except for the occasionally other 86 owner. I'm fine with that, actually prefer it.

Eh, it's a car. It's really not anything that special. By now people know what it is. I'm shocked people ever get asked anymore by anyone who isn't asking an owners opinion to see if it's something they would want.
