The different cluster hood and the all blacked backing cluster itself are cool things.

Any news if this will be coming to the US? Going to pull the trigger on a 14 BRZ and would shit a brick if this came out 6 months later.

tS will never be released in the states. Now will the STi goodies be released in the states? Sure, but you can already buy the stuff.

You can get the STi wheels from a dealer now, and the lip is about 300 plus shipping from JapanParts. Or if you don't mind a replica about 70 shipped on eBay.

The SE wheels are 17x7. I think there are better wheel deals for the price.

I'm in Japan, so the Tc is an option for me, but I just drove the S, the top level model here, and I never once felt the car was breaking a sweat. The handling and brakes were solid and inspired a lot of confidence to the point I think the car was bored with me. I'm not sure I would push the car hard enough to really feel the $8K difference in price. It's sort of like the $400 short shifter option. I can up shift the regular shifter with my index finger. i use to pay $400 to get a shifter as good as this car's stock shifter. Shorter is good, but I'm not really feeling the need.
The Brembos are sexy, but realistically if the stock brakes get weird, a set of sports pads are likely to cover it. The stronger drive and halfshafts are great, but I'm happy in the low twos and people seem to be winding up shafts above 300 so it's sort of overkill. I really dig the STI guage cluster, but, sorry folks, those seats are fugly and the STI wheels do not look good to me. It still has that Torsen diff which I dislike; gimme a clutch diff please. The braces and suspension arms have real utility. This car feels pretty stiff, but I could detect the slightest bit of flex that those would address. It's tempting, but only just. I'll have to think about it. It seems silly to buy the STI and then swap the seats and wheels day one, two significant parts of the aesthetic of the car. Please give me a tiered set of performance packages Step one: Brembos and suspension Step two: Adds bracing Step three: Adds drive and halfshafts Interior Package which can be added alacarte: All the interior bits Aero Package which can be added alacarte: All the aero bits |
