86 Love on Spike TV Engine power!
Anybody catch Spikes power block today? They had a FRS on for an Supercharge install and some base line track testing. Not bad made 170 wheel NA and then almost 270 FI. They were running pump but still decent. They have future plans for suspension and additional track upgrades. #trackcar #powernation #enginepower.
Not Bad I'm HKS E85 tune making 320 but still not bad for Pump.

Weird they used a Scion. You figure Toyota would have been happy to hand them a new 86 for promotion.

Edit: It has the old style antenna. It's an older FRS.

With the popularity of the 86, why not build it?

That's cool that one made it onto mainstream TV outside of Top Gear. Especially on a US-based show, since all we know about here is drag racing, apparently.

They do an import like once a season...the fact that the FRS was on is nothing short of small miracle.
I'm guessing the only reason it made it is because the F/I kit was Edelbrock, a big sponsor of all car shows on Spike ***Also, used a Hooker exhaust system on the car...sometimes it pays to have domestic sponsors Last edited by Lonewolf; 02-05-2017 at 02:00 PM. |
