I remember when my dad first got his Z4 we pulled into a full serve gas station and an attendant offered to check his oil level. It was pretty entertaining seeing him search and search for the dipstick... then bring another guy over to help look. Eventually they shut the hood, gave us a thumbs up saying we were all good and off we drove off laughing

Yeah the forum picked up a bit again but in the wrong way... snowflakes, valvesprings and supra speculation. Bleh.

Maybe I just don't know anything but why do I keep reading about the twins as an "old" or "aging" platform? It's like 7 years old and already had a cosmetic and minor engine refresh... is that considered old for car platforms?
