I see these could POSSIBLY brake into the 13s with a Tune, Header Back, and Intake, on some Drags.... Cant wait

Still not bad for a first try. What kind of temps and 60 foot did you have?

How are you holding the shifter? Hand position on the shifter plays a huge part in shifting quickly during a drag race.

good stuff the car seems to be able to do even a 14.6 with the weight reduction, we will see when other people or even the OP starts to get a hang of racing it, i'm very curious as to how the engine will respond to the n/a modifications it already has the high compression so the breathing mods should yield some good increase in power but how much and how aggressive can you tune it, maybe with a tune you can get rid of the torque dip some dyno graphs are showing right now

I think you're bang on there. I was holding it very poorly actually. I was rather stiff with a death grip on the shifter. I realized that, and the 3 days later auto crossing I had no problem shifting quickly to 3rd on the run toward the finish.

mounting on some 235/40 Drags and youll be in the 14.6...

wider and shorter tires = more grip, shorter gears, better 60ft

lighter wheels with even just good summer tires will yield great results. I'm thinking of going with rpf01s and if I do, I will post up results. It's going to be a couple weeks though. I'm hoping there will be some other options out there that will be around the same weight

That will do it. The 2-3 shift you actually want a much more neutral grip - spring pressure is going to pull you toward center, all you have to to is help it a teeny but. Palm on top and push forward with the heel of your hand is a good choice for 2-3 and 3-4. Then you move it over to the left side of the shifter for the 4-5 and 5-6

Thanks for the info! I've read something similar to that before, but actually doing it when the adrenaline is going is a whole other thing. I'm probably going to go biking tomorrow evening instead of drag racing, but I'll keep practicing

ended up making many different passes today, almost hitting a 15.5. I keep spinning at the line, but my mph are staying about the same. I need some stickier tires

I was running against another fr-s, which I believe his best time before I left was 15.4. He was consistantly beating me off the line, then I would reel him in a little towards the end.

I would say this car with someone under 200 lbs. can easily hit low 15s. I'm at 212 btw with nothing on haha

both were manuals. Temp was 84 degrees. I think with some better tires, this car could actually hook at the track. My top speed was almost 92, but I couldn't hook, even at 1.5k rpms.

I know I could have hooked if I slipped the clutch, but the last thing I want to do is replace the clutch this early on
