Did you ever figure it out?

Just make sure you check all wires and make sure they're out of the way. I ended up pulling a lot of wires and disconnecting a lot more than crawford implied. I'm not coming out against them, but if you only follow their directions you're going to find yourself wondering why the intake manifold doesn't move at all. If I had to do it again I'd just rip everything off (which is what I ended up doing).

I personally don't think so. It helps keep it clean prevent other objects and tires hitting them.....Also with it removed you got a lot of lose wires.

had a hard time too to lift everything... from driver side, we had to disconnect a few more wire to be able to fit it. passenger side was a piece of cake

but, i will go and buy a new tube for the vacuum. it really seems to short to stay in place, even with the zip-tie

Probably be easier just to pull the intake manifold and at the same time clamp down all the vacuum lines underneath while there.

Anyone know a decent place to get a longer hose that isnt the ambigious one that autozone sells? I installed my blocks and had problems with the hose 2 days later (it was clamped down too ). Since then i've uninstalled it and now i'm waiting to find a hose thats a better fit for the taller intake manifold.

Well...........

That is if you want to remove the manifold. It felt like I just installed a innovative charger But this is how the real instructions should have been to make sure that the gasket did not fall out. But I used the sliding method.
