I light of your previous statement, in another thread, "I would still hire someone to install my header as I am mechanically useless"....... I would suggest you just go out and buy another car with more HP.

Oh wow @humfrz is right I saw that other thread, it looks like you aren't comfortable modifying the car yourself which is understandable but is also another reason why you shouldn't "upgrade" the car. Especially when you don't have things budgeted out of planned you gave a random ball park of 10 grand, nor do you know how much you'll buy the car for....

Did you really expect to get some adult guidance? Guys like you are like blood in the ocean, and some of these posters are like sharks. OK, nurse sharks, or flaccid catsharks, or weasel sharks, or phallic catsharks, or small-fin gulper sharks, or small-eye pygmy sharks, or short-fin makos, I guess, but sharks nonetheless.

If it is for street I'd do FI for the "sleeper" aspect.

For track I'd probably just go for a vette or something. Unless it is much cheaper to add the FI

So after everyone's advice, have you come to a conclusion?

And statements such as this are in no way different than the replies given to the question.

A reasonable question will receive "adult" guidance. We prove that time and time again. There is nothing reasonable about the original question here. Whether he realizes it or not OP is just looking for support for a decision he has probably already made.

On a related note should I have McDondalds or Tim Hortons for breakfast?

Why are people not happy with the power in this car? I've been driving my 2014 Accord sport with 189Hp and a CVT transmission for a few weeks and when i took my 86 out for a drive recently I felt like i was in a rocket ship lol.

I think if you think this car is slow you already made the mistake of buying it.

The troubles of a aftermarket turbo car will never end no matter who you choose to set the car up. You could even hire Amuse to set up this car and you will still have some issues down the road.

Also, even if your a track person, most track guys will tell you, all you need is a good suspension setup and sticky tires and this car will eat many cars on the track for breakfast if your a decent driver.

I went through the same though too. I settled on keeping the car stock because if i ever decide to trade in or sell its going to be simpler process.

Reasons to go FI:

1. This is your second car to play with. Not your primary means of transportation.
2. You're mechanically inclined and have the time to deal with the inevitable issues that will arise.
3. You have the money to play.
4. You want to mod your car regardless of what it was intended to do because ... You can and it will be a learning experience ... Good or bad.

Or ........

Get another car with more HP if you answered no to any of the questions listed above.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Dude, get a Cayman S. If you like raw sports car feel and just want more grunt (and more of everything else), then it's perfect for you. You can get them for high 20s, low 30s with some miles on it. IMS Failure is always an issue with those cars, but other then that they're fairly reliable.

Here's how that happens:

A car owner with no mechanical experience walks into a local tuning shop and announces he has $10,000 to spend on getting a turbo installed. The turbo will then cost him $10,000, because that's how much he said he had to spend.
