Can the Flash Editor 91 octane tune be used on a stock car with just the V3 Supercharger?

Will the Flash Editor be compatible for both 6MT and 6AT?

How bolt on is the kit? I know that the V2 needed modification to fit but one thing that is listed on the V3 is that it does have a new Supercharger bracket(maybe less modification???).

Maybe HKS can post a online pdf manual for customers to see what they are getting into. Just a suggestion.

@10Stars

Yes the flash editor can be used on a stock car with the 91 octane setting, however for optimum power and driveability, HKS recommends installing the required exhaust upgrades (listed above). After your car is up & running, you can always send your Flash Editor to a Pro-Dealer for a custom calibration.

As for installation this is going to depend on your skill with a wrench. There is a fair amount of modification that needs to be done to the car, none of it major though. You will need a cutting tool as you have to cut out a section of the upper radiator support so the charge pipe will clear. A few smaller brackets will need to be cut, the fan shroud needs to be clearance, 8mm hole drilled in bumper support, Idler pulley mounting bracket needs to be modified, and a few other small items here and there to be ground down.

We are currently working on getting a digital version of instructions in English.

So will the Flash Editor work for both transmissions? 6MT and 6AT?

I'm loving the design of the kit. My only wish was for the piping to come in black. If the Flash Editor does work on the 6AT then I might start seriously considering this as soon as my warranty is done.

I hope we see more of these soon as the price point with or without the Flash Editor is very fair imo.

Sorry I missed that question. You can install the V3 kit on the 6AT cars but the flash editor will not work on this application. You will need something like an Ecutek to flash it.

Do the spark plugs come with the kit? They seem like a pretty mandatory part for a change to forced induction. The HKS inlet #70999-AT001 fits with this kit with out modification?

No the plugs do not come with the kit. You should be looking at hotter plugs on any kit if you are going from NA to FI.

Yes you can use the HKS Air intake duct without having to modify it with this kit. Using this part will actually save you from having to cut the end off the factory one.

Ok. Just want to make sure I don't double order parts. Colder plug though right? The HKS plugs are a step colder not hotter?

The kit calls for the M50HL plug which is equivalent to an NGK 10 heat rating so it would be a Colder plug not a hotter plug

Sorry for the confusion.

Interesting, I always thought you would go to a step or two colder when you move to forced induction.

I realize this is a hard question to answer depending on a lot of factors. Is replacing the OEM clutch at the time of the V3 supercharger install required? I daily my car back and forth to work and don't race or track it. I realize the added power will kill the OEM clutch and it doesn't have the clamping force to hold the added power. but under these conditions how long would you guess 6 months to kill the clutch? Less/More?

It's totally going to depend on how you drive it.

I can tell you that our car has basically been a supercharged test and demo. mule since day 1 of ownership. From that point until now literally, dozens of people have driven it with no regard for clutch longevity (everyone has beaten the crap out of our car). Dozens of dyno pulls, Michael Essa drove it 10/10 at 86Fest, Kevin Byrd drove it 10/10 in the V3 video, + employees, + customers... We're at ~20,000 miles now and the stock clutch doesn't slip under acceleration, but it doesn't have the initial bite it used to. We were just talking about installing a HKS LA Clutch in it today actually.
