It's for safety reasons. To notify others that you are reversing. And so you can see at night.

Also you can get a ticket if a cop sees you don't have reverse lights. My dad got one a while back when his bulb burned out.

But like you said to each his own... Just giving my 2 cents

I appreciate it . My buddy is a cop in the city of phx and he told me yeah it's bad but cops around here have more important things to do then to pull people over a light bulb . I wouldn't expect any less if they ever do notice tho

Aww the difference between AZ and CA. Here they look for things to pull you over...

Those yellow spots you speak of, they sound like rail dust. Do they look something like this?

Claying your car will remove that nicely.

+1 for Volk.

Is that an Alienware M17? Noticed that keyboard immediately as I have one.

Took it in for the free oil service. It has 5 months and 3200 miles, but said they would cover the service. Also had idle TSB ECU firmware update done. All ready to have my FT86SF catted UEL headers installed on Monday.

Put a nice long fingernail scratch on the trunk (worst one yet!)
And then promptly gave my detailer friend a call.

I swear, keeping a car in good condition is the hardest thing ever!

M14X actually. M17 is too big for me, like a desktop. Even M14 is heavy enough, hah.

Got a pair of Vorshlag top mount from Evasive Motorsports today.
They work with KW V3 and allow more negative camber to fit my new wheels;
