sorry... I got behind on this thread. What's going on with the electronics? Who / what is handling that portion?

I asked the guys at Vorshlag on facebook if they had a canbus translator worked out, the answer was "nope". It looks like they have gone ahead with production of the hard parts, but the ECM will be up to the individual. That said, MRS Electronics are developing a translator and have a lot of the features working already. Follow them on facebook, they post updates. MRS did the new Miata-LS translator, and they do OEM canbus systems as well, they know what they are doing. It would be pretty sweet if one could peice together all the parts of this swap by the end of the year.

Thats my plan as long as the hard parts are finished soon. I'm keeping a close eye on their site. I want to get this going as soon as possible.

MRS Electronics does not show on a google search. Please post the full name and/or link to their website.

is it possible, instead of trying to tie the canbus into the Chevy electronics. to just leave the subaru ecu in the car. and fool it by hooking its sensors into the LS motor. and the ones that cant be adapted to the LS, simply simulated by a box of some sort. so in essence the stock subaru ecu is dumb and happy. thinking everything is normal. meanwhile the chevy LS ecu is doing all the actual work. without being tied into the canbus.

that way even if you plugged in the OBD for emissions. everything would seem normal to the computer tester.
