Question about SD tunes- my car gets a lot of canyon driving, and also drives between Vancouver and Calgary. Elevations change from sea level to 4600ft. My understanding is that a MAF tune takes care of all of the changes in oxygen content etc; if I'm running a SD tune, what's the story?

+1 would like to know effects of massive elevation changes with a SD tune if any?

Has anyone else aside from @digital_assassin got the cogged pulleys? Wondering how those are coming along and besides abit quieter is operation overall somehow smoother overall etc?
@gmsii how is the progress coming along for the skunk header that will work with this kit and any other news in general?

I was once 100% on JR kit, however I must say there are a few things about this kit I like to, such as the cleaner routing and look of the IC piping, slightly larger IC and the backup belt while IMO not needed is a safeguard of sorts to.

The cogged pulleys should still be a few weeks out. I have the prototypes and they are being modified slightly from my input. They make it much quieter but that's the only difference, performance wise there is no change since they were idlers anyway. Just hang tight guys, they're great to deal with and will send them to you for sure once they're ready. It's an easy swap even if the charger is on the car.

@gmsii

Is KW working on their own oil cooler that works with your kit? For engine oil that is..

Also..what is eta of header that works with this kit?

Last question if one wants to upgrade to larger SC off bat what's difference in cost and is this an option up front?

Would like to know this as I'm nearing crunch time and want to decide soon.

When I spoke with KW it didn't sound like there would be any additional charge, as the C30 and C38 are sold for around the same price.

They said that more supporting mods would be needed (of course) to run the larger SC. I'm just wondering if we can put a C38 on there with a larger pulley to stay at a safe HP level for stock internals, and slowly decreasing pulley size as we build the motor over time.

I'm assuming that the response on the c38 will not be quite as instant as the c30 at lower power levels, and may not have as nice of a powerband~ this has yet to be seen though. Once the boost gets craked up though... Oh yeaaaa

Finally got everything in that I need... looking at some local tuners before taking the plunge into installing everything. It's going to be February, for sure.

I'm toying with the idea of using the C38 to bring more boost early and then limit the boost to 12lbs up top. It think the car would be super fun pushing 2-3 lbs of boost down below 2K just to liven up the city driving.

What is your present boost pressure @ ~2500 rpm?
You can estimate roughly by cross referencing the two maps.
The C38 has a lower max rpm limit.

This! I've been thinking about the same thing but you go first and give us a review! Lol

On another note, did you receive a belt cover/bracket with your kit? Mine is missing.

This one:

Curious where you think a blow off valve would go on this kit if indeed you went with the larger Rotrex ...
