You could run 17's and go lower and would look even better.

So I had my first drift event since installing the driftknuckles angle kit
The car didn't feel THAT much different overall as far as driver feel and input. Flicking the car in on entry was MUCH easier though thanks to the quicker steering. Everyone says the steering gets heavy, I'm not sure I find that. I will say that I wish the wheel was quicker to snap back in transitions but I think that might be more of a problem with the giant 18x9.5's I have on the car, just seems a bit more apparent now than it did last year. The biggest issue I was trying to overcome was my car pushing, which I think is just me needing to dial more camber in the car. I can see on the tires where it was getting scuffed on the outside edge. I'm going to try to remove the front swaybar for my next event. I've heard it helps with angle at lower speeds as the endlinks bind a bit, plus I'm hoping it will make transitions a bit smoother. Either way its pretty solid for its cost and Bryan from drift knuckles was super helpful considering some hiccups I had with USPS and shipping my cores to him.

I'll post some photos when I'm not at work, but two events in with the megan inner tie rods and I love them. Seriously, for $80 you can't go wrong. Side note, I just picked up a SBD kit used for cheap. I already have an oil cooler, and will be getting a new clutch. If I'm not dirt nasty low, do I have to worry about axles with the extra 100hp? As long as I'm monitoring oil/coolant temps and making sure the tune is dialed, what should I be concerned with? I want to have the kit on the car by June 17th, but if I end up "needing" parts like axles it'll have to wait. I just wanna be able to redline 3rd lol.

-Oil temp -Oil Pressure -Boost -AFR With regards to axles, the power is one thing, but the grip levels will play a role too. Are you increase the amount of grip in the rear or no? Either way, you should always have at least 1 extra OEM axle with you *just in case*. If you happen to blow one, I'd honestly just upgrade. $900, do it once and be done with it. Much better than spending $200+ per each OEM axle just to have them blow. Just my opinion.

im not even planning on FI and I want those axles. just for peace of mind. especially at my new ride height. not dirt nasty low either, but its not modest.
and for the life of me I cant figure out what SBD is? all I can think of is "silent but deadly" lol

Hey guys have anyone tried Megan Racing Inner Tie (steering) Rods?
I'm looking for the way to increase the steering angle (don't want to go with a full kit which is kinda hardcore for a daily drive) Last edited by Sonic86; 05-25-2017 at 09:31 PM. |

Hey Sonic86, I've had those installed for a while now and for the price (~$80) they are hard to beat. It doesn't get you a whole ton of extra angle but does help.
Your tires might start to rub at full lock against the frame rails, depending on tire width, offset, alignment, etc... |

I hope you don't rub, but you might. I ran 225 tires up front with 25mm spacers, and -2 degrees camber with stock suspension and still rubbed a little at full lock. Also would feel like the sway bar would bind up at times, usually during a spin. Seems a lot of people just disconnect the sway bar and that seems to help.
Let us know what you experience after you install them and your thoughts. |

I'm on stock wheels with 215, Megan inner ties, and 25mm spacers and I rub at full lock.

Yup, that's the same spot I had contact at too. I thought smaller 215 tires might not rub, maybe 30mm+ spacers are required
