For 17x8.25 +35 or 18x8.75 +35 rims, what tires specs will bring these rims closest to stock dimensions? I see a lot of people running 235/40/18 for the 18" wheels

Well I got my XXRs in the mail today (fedex) and I can't tell you how impressed I am with them.

I immediately threw them in my trunk, which they fit in and headed to discount tire.

I hurried home and this is what we're looking at. I love it so much. They fill the fenders SO well. I couldn't be happier.

Chilling out on the island :3

A big thank you to NLmotoring.com and discount tire for being awesome.

Nice!! I want these in either bronze or gold for my Asphalt. Do you think you can post some more pictures of them on your car when you have time? thanks!

Either of these will have almost factory dimensions (less than 1% change):

235/40/17 (0.9% off)
245/40/17 (0.4% off)

235/35/18 (0.6% off)
245/35/18 (0.5% off)

-----
These work, but are more than 1% off, so may require adjusting your speedo (depends a bit on local law)

235/45/17 (2.9% off)
245/45/17 (4.3% off)

235/40/18 (3.2% off)
245/40/18 (4.5% off)

Thank you! I'm hoping to lower about 1" or so still also. There's a never-ending list of modifications that is slowly coming together.

I had the same struggle, I was leaning towards gold because the bronze wasn't in stock for an extended amount of time. Then, just as I was about to settle for gold the bronze popped back up in stock. I will definitely be cluttering the forum with more pictures! I'm obsessed with these wheels.

Ooh cool we are on a similar set up, I also have a 1" drop so I would have a good idea on what my car will look like, what size tires are you running? Hopefully bronze won't be hard to get when I decide to buy them, but I would get gold too since it seems like it would match well.

anyone know the difference in "concave-ness" between the 17x8.25 +35 and 18x8.75 + 35? is it even noticable?

I can't say for sure, but I'd guess it's a very negligible amount of added concavity. It's only half of an inch.
