Where do you guys put your Fasttrak device in these cars?

I just got one and it's the smaller, rectangular version, not the large thick square one.

Originally I expected the larger one so I wasn't planning to stick it on the windshield or anywhere. But since it's the smaller one it won't be taking up as much space. Or I could just stick it to the dash, but I'm a bit worried the glue stuff could ruin the material.

I just leave it in the glovebox. Works fine. Don't think you even need one in the car nowadays since you can register your license plate.

When I need to use it I throw it on this dash mat then it goes back in the little slot in the cup holder.

Create an online account with bayareafastrak if you haven't already. Add your license plate. And never have to use the transponder again.

Really.. interesting. Guess I shouldn't have picked one up. Oh well.

But yeah maybe I'll just leave it in either the cupholder slot or the glovebox.

I hate front plates, so I usually bring the transponder with me (just in case they some how identify my car). But, like others, I usually just keep it in the glove box and toss it up the dash when crossing a bridge, then, back into the glove box after it beeps.

As predicted, the DMV didn't need print my plates correctly so now I need to wait another 3-4 months.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll Lee mine in the glovebox since it's the newer smaller version anyway

I have not posted this in the technical section but would like to get some info from you guys. I recently just noticed this sound. While in neutral, tapping the gas to 2k rpm and then when in 1st gear driving in a parking lot in low rpm too. can be heard louder in the passenger side. Something is loose? Car have Borla headers and Nvidia n1 catback exhaust. What you guys think?

Sounds like loose nuts/bolts on the flange?

I was tapping the front pipe area and I can reproduce than sound really lightly from there but bolts and nuts were intact and tight. I'll recheck tomorrow by removing the undercover and see the headers and overpipe bolts and nuts. Hopefully I can find it there. The sound is not present driving in the freeway in higher gears and rpms.
