HKS intake setup VS Injen intake,,,what are your thoughts?

I haven't heard much reviews or testing on the HKS intakes, the design is simple and basic, I don't think bogging would be an issue with it, I see a lot of the 86s in japan running these. Id like to have more info on these if anyone is personally running them

Injen intake seems to be making the most power, the concern I have is about the bogging and dead spot in the throttle, and lack of sound tube.

what are some of your thoughts?

There's been several issues with intakes messing with the idle and giving sluggish response in lower RPMs. I would skip a full intake system unless you're getting a tune with it at the same time. Until someone can make a fool-proof 100% operational intake without throwing the stock ECU off, I'd settle for a drop in filter.

I have a Injen intake and love it. I did not have any bogging issues on the stock tune but I did on my stge1 tune which was fixed with an updated flash for people with an aftermarket intake. And you definitely do not need a sound tube because this intake sounds like a beast.

Worrying about the sound tube just seems like a moot point. The HKS just looks like an overpriced pipe with their same shitty filter they've been sticking on their intakes for years.

I've always had good experiences with HKS, and their quality is on par for the most part. Not to sure about air raid though, never heard of them.
