The WHP WTQ numbers cant be accurate. If they were, there is no way the FRS looses.

Exactly, because 470 Hp 370 TQ should eat up this evo easy. It does keep up with it but some pulls it just pulls away. Maybe there is a boost leak? I'm sure the owner of this FRS is on this forum and will have some kind of explanation.

There was no sort of consistency in those pulls. Sometimes the EVO would devour him, other times it would slowly nibble. At certain points the FR-S threatened to pull away. Its like each race is a completely different car.

I guess when that kind of power is being pushed it starts to being extremely close. All in all those 2 cars are beastly as hell....

Just shows how much a big turbo can hurt you off the hit till it gets spooled up.

I hear no sound at work but it seems as the FRS is missing a gear or hes not flat foot/power shifting. Once that butterfly shuts its going to have to build boost back up again. This is were your notice the difference between a laggy turbo (cheaper) and a quick spooling turbo (not so cheap).

The evo was brake boosting were as the frs was not. As well the frs was not using full throttle shift while the evo was. There will be another run when the frs owner is back in town. He has gotten his brake boosting sorted now. As well that evo is no slouch and the driver can drive it well. Also traction on the frs is an issue.

So I was in Ft Lauderdale for a few days earlier this week and @lexusb3 was nice enough to come out and let me check the car out. I was very impressed with the car, idle was stable, power came on smooth, fit and finish of the FA20 kit looked great and the car never stopped pulling. He beat on it yesterday in 95 degree heat with the AC on blast and the temp gauge never moved. For anyone who doubts how many miles his car has or how hard he beats on it I can assure you he is not misleading anyone. I would like to extend my thanks to @lexusb3 for coming out and I would like to give props to @FA20Club.com for building a great kit :happy0180:.

the guy wasn't flat foot shifting, you could see it in his gtr vs frs vid; he would kinda ride the clutch or something between shifts

still impreseve

Fabron's car does get down and he is still learning to drive it, with that said I am still impressed with Lexusb3's set up is putting out. I am currently waiting for one FA20Club's kits for one of my customers, for what my customer wanted it fit the bill perfectly. Instead of e85 we will be using a meth injection set up though.

Since they are on a 50 roll traction shouldnt be an issue but im sure with some betting shifting and small fine tuning with how much boost per gear im sure it can easily pull away from the evo..... In any case this car is an absulute monster....

The EVO may have more aggressive mechanical gearing than our cars, just like the S2k. It can make a difference.

I hate to ask this question because I am sure it has been discussed. But..... Twin turbo.... I understand that the 2.0L does not produce enough exhaust to support this platform. Now I do hate to keep beating the dead horse in this subject.... But I have seen Evos, S2ks and many other small displacement engines with this kind of platform and seems to be working... So just wondering about this....

i have a lot of time on my hands before sema so me and my brother have another R&D car we will be using to test a twin kit and a new supercharger system that will support upwards of 600whp. We just started making the jigs so it will be a while, but I will start a thread once we get some progress.
