Tpms light on

Today, When I hopped into my car and started it, I found that my tpms light is on. My car was sitting outside all night. The day before, I went for a really long drive but there was no tpms light on.

I checked the pressure and all my tires are at 32 psi. I checked for nails etc and there was nothing. My rear tires are bald they’re holding pressure just fine.

Is there any other cause for that light to come on?

Oem tires and rims. It’s a 2013.

Try 36 psi?
Other than that, it could just be a failed sensor. Uncommon but shit happens. You might need to take a trip to the dealer or a tire shop.

If at 32 PSI one of them may be right at the edge of being low. When the tempurature drops overnight they can go just below the trigger point even though a guage still reads OK. Put a little air in the.

STOP driving around in temperatures under 7 degrees with bald rear tires. Even with tread they are bad at low temperatures. You next thread could be "Is this totaled?"

Lol I’m trying to burn out the tires till they’re absolutely done then throw them out.

Is your car manual or auto? I was thinking about that the other day.... as weird as it sounds haha

As I said above it comes on because your tire pressure is right on the edge of the trigger and when the air cools it drops just enough to set off the TPMS. It isn't just the cold it is a combination of pressure and the cold.

Doing so when it is cold out could mean a totaled car get some proper cold weather tires on there soon. It doesn't take snow or ice to lose traction with summer tires.

My car is a MT.

No you put another PSI or two of air in them so you don't hit the trigger.
And...
You get the right tires for the weather conditions put on the car (I will keep repeating that)
