True, and power is force multiplied by speed, so at twice the speed, you have 4x the drag and need 8x the power.

So um... velocity to the third power then. Maybe you can get a refund.

My top speed was 230 kmph which is 142mph converted. Was racing a jag XJ in the middle of the night on the freeway. He was chasing my ass but i managed to weaved through traffic while he was drafting me like crazy. Good race tho, but I managed to get ahead believe it or not!

In 25,000+ posts and hundreds of heated debates I have not once uttered this word no matter how intense things got:

I watched a Vette & Porsche do that and the Vette ran into the back of a dump truck and caught fire! The driver had no chance, he was dead on impact.

The Porsche driver actually pulled over and watched the Vette melt into the asphalt. Then, sped off....

Well, now, @WTFRS86 ....... welcome to our mostly law abiding forum.......

I think you will find that most of the members here are not impressed with doing unsafe things with our cars.

The next time you have the urge to "open er up", I hope you are on a closed course ....... like the Bonneville salt flats ......
