Obviously the tune should extract the full potential of these, but will they still add AUC without the tune?

They def make a noticeable difference even without tune. I'm still on stock tune and the BPBs are a night and day difference

No wonder your car is loud as shiet. Test pipe, muffler delete and catless UEL?! I didn't know.

They can be beneficial for a daily driver, but since the power falls off faster at the top end of the RPM band, you'd essentially short shift 500RPM short of redline.

Zero drawbacks, mine was the first to have them installed and I've put a ton of miles on my car with multiple track events under my belt.

I've got the BPB + Crawford ecutek e85 tune with the revworks UEL, namless overpipe/frontpipe, invidia q300 cat back, and a k&n filter with a perrin inlet tube.
I had my car dyno'd with everything except the tune and the header and I made 177whp around 7200 rpm, after the BPB and tune I made 189whp and a 21whp increase at 6200rpm and about 15wtq increase there as well. I'm def happy with the mods. I'll be staying NA, I just ordered a 4.556 final drive set to help with acceleration too.

LOL your sentence here makes it seems like this was different before. Like before the power blocks you were at 80mph at redline. The power blocks are not changing your gearing. Unless you actually have changed your gearing, you will always be at a certain speed at a given RPM in a given gear.

After stage 2 UEL map non BPB - 243hp

After BPB stage 2 beta map - 258hp

There is no possible way the BPB are adding 30-45 horse power over. actual dynos have shown about 20 hp on a stock engine, with full exhaust and tune maybe 22-25 hp over stock

I need to get my car dyno'd... I have: silicone inlet, k&n drop in, modded snorkel, pulley kit, aluminum driveshaft, OFH, overpipe, frontpipe, catback, crawford BPB, crawford AOS, OFT 91 UEL stage 2. The car feels amazing NA, I'm very surprised how the fa20 reacted to full NA bolt-ons. I feel like if all the haters could go to a dealership and test drive "my car" they'd shut up about how the 86 platform lacks power.

Now I'm really torn between dishing out the $$ for final drive vs supercharger. $1000 vs $3800... that kraftwerks looks soooooo good...

BUT I am extremely happy with the car for now. I've let a couple stock FRS owners drive mine balls to the wall and they were blown away. Sure full NA bolt on isn't cheap. But its a great compromise for power and reliability.

/my personal opinion

I was debating between going JRSC vs. staying NA, and decided to go NA for reliability (even though more expensive and less power). My setup will be similar to your's, so glad to hear you're really happy with it.

For now I'm very happy, I only ever wish I had more power when I play forza and look at shiny parts online. But in reality I giggle like a little girl when I drive my car, I hope you do too when you eventually get all your parts on! Oh and for what it's worth I came to this platform from a 400whp JDM STI swapped saabaru, this car is way more fun in current form

But SC is a pipe dream right now, I have other financial things to take care of that are way more important. Like preparing to separate from the usaf in three years, and: have money in the bank for an engagement ring, whenever that happens... because love shouldn't be on a credit card lol

In the mean time with spare cash I'll build the car to be ready for FI though. Gauges, cooling, clutch, brakes etc.
