No they don't. Oil changes and tire rotations.

Negative. Not part of ToyotaCare or Scion Boost.

Alignments and wiper INSERTS can be replaced and rotors resurfaced ONCE under warranty within 12mo/12k miles.

Don't spread misinformation.

You say INSERTS, I (and the manual) say blades. I didn't see any mention about free rotor resurface in the warranty and maintenance manual, but maybe, like wiper blades, are the dealer's call.

Anyway, wheel balance and alignment are both defined as warranty repairs in the manual, p. 12, and are covered for 12 months/20,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Get your facts straight.

Also important if you READ IT...Wiper blades are listed under "What is not covered"

I'm a Toyota Service Advisor by the way, and I deal with this bs on a daily basis.

Yet you quoted a non-existent policy regarding brake rotors. Where is that written, maybe I missed it?

Like I said, it's a dealers call. Mine is reputable and having had so many fleet cars delivered through them, they always go the extra mile and have always replaced wiper blades, usually within the first month of ownership since most are contaminated with rail dust. I've never had to pay for them or even questioned about it.

They've also earned the President's Club award every year since inception and owner satisfaction is a large part why.

It sounds like your dealership should consider giving you more flexibility, responsibility and trust in authorizing payment from the owner satisfaction budget that any reputable dealership I've dealt with has in place.

You're correct, it's the dealership's call. That's not what you said originally.

What you said originally is that ToyotaCare covers oil changes, tire rotations, cabin air filters, alignments and wiper blades. That is simply not true and that is what I was addressing.

My 2015 hasn't made any CD like whirring sound...but it did recently start making a ticking sound which I have already scheduled a replacement fan motor for. My TC did the same thing and I replaced the motor myself. It's pretty easy to do but since my FRS is still under warranty I'm having the dealer do it.

Uh, no.

True, I mixed free warranty, maintenance and owner satisfaction parts and service operations, but only mentioned four-wheel alignments, tire rotations and wiper blades. Someone else mentioned the other jobs.

Of those maintenance services, the wiper blade replacement is the most noticeable and appreciated in my rainy climate. For their small goodwill investment, my dealership gained loyalty and many retail sales, parts and service referrals over the years. Pretty good ROI given the possible damage an abrasive confrontation with service people could do.

Weird. My dealership told me the first set of wiper blades were covered, and oil every 7.5k for the first 30K. No one told me about the alignment/tire rotation/and resurfacing.. maybe I should go read again!

Wait, the FRS has a cabin filter?! I drive by a water treatment facility daily and previously in my; Audi, BMW, Mazda, I never smelled anything. However, in my FRS, I almost throw up in my mouth every time.

Does it just not work or something? I will look into the carbon ones, maybe they trap smell better.

A cabin air filter is not supposed to trap smell, it filters the air from pollen's, dust and other small things to overall improve the air quality. You can go ahead and buy a carbon one, but it won't change the smell incoming the car, that's the whole car it self.
