I was shopping around and found the installation instructions. Gives you a pretty good idea of what you'll get into if you try to install it yourself.

Great find! Very detailed instructions, probably one of the best I've seen. The formatting kinda reminds me of those good ol Haynes manuals I have laying around, except with color!

Read the instructions during my lunch break. Definitely much more involved than other SCs like say the JRSC or Kraftwerks. I may have to consider getting this professionally done.

I noticed that it was fairly involved as well. Looks like a full day job for sure or more for the shade tree mechanic.

It looks pretty simple, they just explain every single step in detail. Instead of bracketry and hanging something on the front of the motor you are replacing the intake manifold. Looks about as challenging or easy (your view) as any other FI option.

Jesus the install instructions are nightware-ish. I put a deposit down for this kit and am seriously reconsidering it now. There's so many modifications you have to do just to install. They claim this to be a simple bolt-on kit, but it looks to be far from it. Really bummed about it

Are you mechanically minded? Then you will have no issues doing it yourself...

If you aren't? Why would you ever considering doing something of this nature?

This is about as bolt on as you can get for something this major (major used loosely).

The install instructions may be thorough and detailed, but that doesn't make the process simple. The two Vortech kits I've installed were a cakewalk compared to this.

As others said, you're replacing the entire intake manifold, so most everything connected to it will likely need to be swapped or changed... I'm not sure what else you could have expected. If you're not comfortable doing this than you should be getting it done professionally anyway. Looks about as simple as I had expected, were not doing a filter swap here folks.

Wow, lots of steps for sure but that just means everything should be covered. Love how they highlight the parts being installed in each step blue instead of putting an arrow.

Sorry... I guess I see it as pretty simple. Its component swapping. Fabricating it? Yeah that wouldn't be a simple process...

But hey, different strokes....

Try any of the other Positive Displacement kits. They're all similarly involved.

LOL this is far easier than vortech. I can do this in 2-3 hrs.
