What spacers do I need in the front for the AP Racing Sprint kit with stock rims? How much clearance with those spacers? Do I need longer studs and what length? Different lug nuts?

5mm. I'd highly recommend extended studs and open-ended lugnuts.

What clearance is left with a 5mm spacer with OEM rims? I believe that I saw a post about a 10mm spacer with 2 or so mm gap on OEM rim. Which specific studs and open-ended lugnuts do you recommend? Noticed that some lugnuts have cone shape ends instead of dome used by OEM...wouldn't want to risk not getting this right with anticipated track use.

Thoughts?

I'm just reporting what we've had confirmed to us by customers; I'm not sure how much space is left, but I do know studs + spacers are a viable option.

ARP studs are the only ones I'd recommend; any conical open ended lugnuts will work, although I'd recommend our Chromoly ones (with a slight bias).

Subaru is unusual in that they use conical seat lug nuts on their stock wheels; aftermarket lugs will work just fine on the OEM wheels.

We carry all of the above mentioned items, except generic spacers. I'd recommend you get these on ebay; they go for around $10/set shipped (you can PM the seller for a bulk order; get thin ones and stack as many as you need).

I had to do 10mm and they clear by 2-3mm, I'm not sure how 5mm would work. I'm not saying Mike is wrong, but on my car (and I think at least one other) 10mm was needed... not that I ever run the OEM wheels but still..

I second the ARP suggestion, it's all I would run as well. There's a DIY for the install of the studs in the DIY subforum.

Open ended lugs.. depends on your goals. I have some Project KICS because I got them at a good price. The CSG ones are nice by the reports I've seen but I don't have any. I used cheap steel Pepboys ones without issues also.

I am actually planing on running spacers on OEM wheels as well.

Just can't afford track wheels at the moment, but I go through brakes too quickly so this is the way it's going to have to be.

I downloaded the template for the sprint kit and I am having trouble getting it to fit with only a 10mm spacer.

I can fit it easily with a 15mm spacer.

My spacers are cut out on the cardboard template, or in other words, I modified the template (to scale) to have offsets of 10mm and 15mm.

@Dave-ROR just double checking that 10mm will be fine before I go ahead and make a purchase.

Definitely fits with a 10mm spacer and the sprint kit. I've bolted an oem wheel on once before to be sure.
