Just a heads up, there will be a car show at SNHU on Saturday September 17. Starts at 10 AM. You can find the event on FB.

Hey guys,

Looking to get a catless header and a tune to clear the CEL codes. But do any of you have trouble passing yearly inspections?

I have a catless header and tune, no trouble at all getting inspected in Maine, just need to find a shop who's aftermarket friendly (AKA not a dealer)

What do you guys think of the new 2017 twins coming out? They don't strike me as being too different from what we already have.

Not worth the upgrade unless you are an abomination who actually likes the new gt86 front end

I agree, not really sure what they are trying to accomplish with the new front bumper.

The 4.30 gearing might be nice to have...

What is going to be the biggest noticeable difference with the new gearing? Acceleration?

Quicker accelleration, at the expense of higher revs at a given speed/gear.

The difference would be minor, and probably also have a small impact on fuel economy.

Doesn't seem worth buying one brand new if that is it. I would just buy a used older one if I was a buyer.

The whole regear thing is a bit odd...there are people on here who've done the 4.56 gear swap and they rave about it. The new 4.30 gear is halfway between our older 4.11s and the 4.56, so one would assume the result would be half (still, an improvement) of what you'd get with the 4.56, but even Toyota doesn't seem to be talking about improved 0-60 times, at least not in terms of actual numbers.

The whole thing seems weird...I am gonna test drive when they come out and see what differences I notice.
