Resurrection 👻👻👻 has anyone ran into problems with an install or long term use, any confirmation on ride height that may or may not require subframe notching with stock axles?

I didn't drive mine much after the install. I pulled the engine and transmission at 2700 miles and sold them. I don't see any wear on the axles or subframe I'm on stock axles.

I'm lowering my 86 25mm on coil-overs and if this is best practise or even advisable, when lowering a pissy 1", forget it!!!

Also;

Forgive me if this is a stupid question but how does this affect the front end of the car, specifically the the rake, braking, anti dive, geometry, weight balance, etc?

Isn't there going to be nose up effect, even minor, when this is done to the rear and not the front?

Is the difference so minimal it has no effect? Doesn't every action have an equal and opposite reaction?

Again apologies if this has been mentioned or explained and I've missed it.
Am putting down ~230 WHP @ 7200 RPM and ~210 ft/bs TQ at ~3000 RPM

... lowered -1.8" rear
... snapped first axle at outer CV (driver's side) 20K mi
... raised rear to -1.6"
... snapped second axle at inner CV (also driver's side) 1 year later and also toasted my ring & pinion at the same time ($1400 fix btw). 33k mi
... raised rear to -1.25"
lets' see where this goes.

Lowering too much matters. If axle goes again, will get PBM diff kit.

Supercharged? I've been running ~1.7" lowered in the rear for maybe 20k miles NA with no problems so far, mix between hwy and spirited driving, no real track days

Edit: ohhhh phantom charger. I was wondering how you had so much torque without more HP. 👍

Hi, I got the risers from PSM
https://store.partsshopmax.com/shop/...s/ZNC6SDR.html

Im debating between installing them myself or taking it to a professional, would you be able to estimate how long does it take to mount the risers? including taking the diff out

and most important, did you need to notch the subframe, and how much drop you have? I will be lowering ~1.4 inch with KW v3, really hope theres no need to notch

I had a local shop do PBM diff bushings. I had the subframe notched and installed whiteline subframe bushings instead of to solid subframe risers to reduce NVH.

The install isn't too bad, but you probably need a press or air hammer to get the old bushings out of the diff. I did end up needing to notch the subframe. Not sure how much of a drop I have, but my rear 235/40/17 tires are just about even with the fender. The axles also were rubbing on the upper control arm, which I let self clearance I attached a pic of my subframe trim.

I don't recall exactly how long it took, but I'd say probably 6 hours from tires up to tires down. Here is a reel I put together of the install:
