Thank you for reading. Yes, it is. Grade of gas doesn't seem to matter, although ethanol may or may not be a factor. Ambient temperature may be a factor as well (it has been in my experience at least).

Wow this thread is still going. Besides the noise has anyone have actual fuel pump failures? From reading the latest posts looks like this is still an on going issue.

EDIT: I just read through the genesis of their thread. Its like taking a stroll down memory lane. They even have some people already confusing the fuel tank pump (low pressure) with the HPFP.

I drive a FR-S 15 i use to put gas in 76 and shell but i stop and only pumping in shell v power after 3 or 4 tanks of v power i guess it flush the mixture of gasoline..and chirps went away...this weekend had to pump 76 and chirping sound came back so it figueres that shell v power is doing the trick for my..i always pump same gas station and same pump

I think punctuation would be a bigger help. However, people have gotten chirps on v-power as well.

10,000 Miles, light squeak around the ABS/Drives side (USDM spec car).

So, should I worry about it? It sounds like a super common problem, read around some are saying it's the Direct Fuel Injector also?

I got them after 300 miles. The only time I've not had them is when I'm running e85. 22k miles at the moment and still chirps on 91/93. I'm on my third HPFP replacement. I gave up a while ago on replacing them
