Yea I'm not sure why some of the 86 vendors even sell this on their websites. It only causes frustrated customers. Post it up on NASIOC, should be able to find a buyer there.

GLWS.

Probably miscommunication between the vendors and their suppliers.

I haven't succumbed to shaming the vendor yet, mainly because I haven't attempted returning yet. I'm sure they'd rectify my issue but I given the hectic time of the year and my pure boredom I've decided to take matters into my own hands. Someone has a friend with a Forester that's been eyeing an STi push start and this is an awesome, albeit expensive, stocking stuffer.

Thanks for the advice though, I'll give NASIOC a try.

Sorry to thread jack, but could you say what we should look out for when buying these buttons?

I've seen listings for the STI Button WITH status light and WITHOUT status light.
I don't care about having an extra little light on the button, but I do want the STI logo and other text on the button to glow like the stock BRZ button does.

I wish I knew. The website I ordered this from didn't list the actual subaru part number. It was a generic model number. If you're in the market yourself and have a '14 BRZ Limited like I do you want to make sure you order part number ST83031ST020.

I've attached an image of the STi and stock push starts. The STi push start is the bottom one and the connectors are not the same.
