Quiet is relative... Are you planning to do Headers at all? If so start their and then do your exhaust. Youtube should provide you tons of clips.

I do want it a bit better in same way than the stock other than quiet.

No the header is gonna stay stock. Just a quiet exhaust with some "performance gain" if its possible. Better than nothing.

Butt Dyno is not gonna feel any difference. Change in exhaust is purely for sound. So I would base my decision off of this. Header+Tune will give you more sound and power for the same price as a full cat back system.

Gruppe-S at 475$(Basically the same as Tomei just cheaper w/o name)
and a used OFT v1 for 400$

This is by far the best combo for the twins under 1K. the Stage 2 tune for OFT works well with this header as long as you still have stock airbox.

well damn forget my next post. My vote is Perrin 2.5 inch. Take a look at Corsa. Its designed for stock header and sounds really good based on video's I have seen

Hmmm.....so just header. I have the stock airbox which I'm not planning to swap. A tune is needed for the new header. Is it gonna effect the emission? I'm not gonna get a check engine light am I?

No, the tune oft stage 2 tune removes the primary cat check, which is the normal cause the check engine light after installing a cattless header. As long as you have the secondary cat in the front pipe, you should still pass emissions (excluding California which does a visual check.)

swapping stock headers only takes a few hours. If you feel comfortable, its a job you can do with basic hand tools, jack stands and a jack. Don't drive like an ahole and you will be fine. Now nothing is 100% and your are taking a risk so keep that in mind.

OFT will disable the CEL for the missing primary cat. In CA you will not pass smog test/emissions.

Ya, I agree.

Usually, I'm patient with newbies, but, with this dude, I asked a question that he didn't answer, then I made a suggestion that he scoffed at.

I must have missed one of my meds today!
